A common doubt that my fellow mates around me ask about is how to charge the device faster?
Is it really such that wireless charging is a faster charging method?
"Please provide your opinions on how to charge efficiently!"

Quickly Charge your Mobile Battery

So this article is for those, who are rather confused about so many videos and posts on the internet that gives numerous ideas on battery charging.

Read the complete post, and I hope this clears all your doubts.

How to Quickly Charge Your Mobile Battery?

1. Use ONLY dedicated chargers and data cables

I have seen a lot of them have a tendency of purchasing those INR 40/- to INR 150/- data cables and chargers in case their in-the-box chargers are faulty, but this in spite of charging your device at a much slower rate will affect the battery inside.

Device manufacturer-provided chargers contain 4 wire in it, 2 of which are dedicated to USB data transfer, and the other 2 for charging purposes. Unlike the cheaper ones which come at 28 gauge rate, the in-the-box charger has 24 gauge rate and are healthier for the battery.

Also, a particular device has a specific input/output capacity that is best fed with the device dedicated charger. So the next time your charger is found malignant, my advice is to get a new one from the nearest Service Centre.

2. Remove all those Fancy Jackets while charging

Guess what, with all the expensive devices we like to carry with us, their protection from external damage remains our prime concern. Hence, we apply so many fancies, or designer back covers, protection case, flip cover, and what not.

That's okay to put on all the time save charging. Yes, don't put this covers on while charging. A standard device needs to dissipate heat energy released while the battery is undergoing recharge. The range of temperature is between 5° C to 45° C.

Now, imagine you are wearing a jacket and sweating under the scorching sun! How would you feel? Comparing this situation with the batteries, the same concern raises.
Thus, if you are reading this, then change your habit of suffocating the device with add-ons.

3. Avoid connecting anywhere but AC power source

There are a lot of friends of mine whom I have witnessed plugging in the phone to Laptop's USB port and charging it.

AC Power Source

NEVER do this. A dedicated charger and a Laptops USB port has a huge difference in the output Voltage, and that of Laptop is as low as 0.5V.
From now on only use Laptop's USB port for Data/Media File Transfer and not for charging.

4. Enable Air-Plane Mode while charging

If it is not so urgent, turn on the Air-Plane Mode from phone settings or Quick Settings options. Then put your device to charge. As a result, you will find charging time to reduce by 25%. While in Air-Plane mode the phone's signals are turned off, as a result, the continuous transfer of signal is blocked, thus battery consumption for that task is deducted. Try it for yourself and let me know your experience in the comments section below.

5. Switch Off your device for even glazing results

Turning on Air-Plane mode only takes away signals, but today's device has so many apps running spontaneously in the background that we are hardly aware of.
For that reason, even while charging a slight amount of charge is also consumed by the device to keep the clock, apps and other widget running. However, it is as simple as the title, switch off and you'll find that the charging time reduced to almost half.
I personally prefer charging by keeping the device turned off!

6. Hidden Tweak in Android

From a collection of random cell phones, I've found default USB configuration set to MTP.
Sounds confusing? Well, you'll find these options after enabling Developer Options. For enabling Developer Options, Go to phone settings > about phone > tap 7 times on build number.

After that, come back to the Phone Settings and select developer options. Scroll down all the way to Select USB Configuration, and tap on Charging Option.

7. Power Bank Issue

There are times when an AC power source is not feasible and we have to connect our device to Power Banks and charge them. But most of us have negligence about the use of power banks.

Power Bank

Consider, your device needs the input of 5V but the power bank's output is maxed at 2.5V, this creates an imbalance and affects the health of battery too. Then, it's time to upgrade your power bank.

Remember to use power bank only compatible with your device and keep it charged, else the reverse transfer of charge will take place.

These were a few tips from my part, which I've practised to gain a great battery life and also charge it faster.

Let me know in the comments section below if you know of any such practice that equally helps in charging at faster rate.
